This is how I had to grind the EasyBoy clutch adapter to fit in the newer FLH's trany cover so it wouldn't bind or rub on the casting.
Bolt it all together before grinding and it'll aid in having something to hold onto while grinding, and you can check it's fitment as you go.
The cable end is longer than the previous models so I had to grind some of the very edge of the adapter to allow the cable to swivel as it goes through it's full motion.
I also had to grind some off of the bottom front edge as you can see so it would clear the castings inside the trany cover.
Make sure once connected like this that the cable can swivel atleast this far without binding, if it doesn't then grind a little more off the outside edge.
I also had to grind some off of the bottom side until it was even with the stock ramp lever, if you don't do this it will rub on the underside against the inside of the trany cover. With it bolted together you can see where it pertrudes out past the inside edge of the stock ramp lever until you grind it off. Right click on any of these images and zoom in if you need.
You can see by the arrows exactly where it would have hit had I not ground it in the places I did. On the front lower edge it would have hit the casting support, causing what would feel like a bad cable sticking at one point until it pulled past it. In the next pic notice on the bottom side how little clearance there is, without grinding it it would rub the trany cover through most of it's motion defeating it's purpose of making it easier to pull.
